There have been many Deaths in literary history. This DEATH is a character written and portrayed by Auckland comedian Julia Clement.
Since the start of recorded history humans have created and feared psychopomps, supernatural entities who guide the departed to an afterlife. Christianity does not have an official psychopomp and recent western mythology has created Death loosely based on the Grim Reaper of medieval lore but far more humanised.
DEATH takes this one further. DEATH is in its anecdotage & identifies with famous humans from the mid 20th century to present. DEATH does not understand the concept of “Too soon!”
DEATH is THE psychopomp for the 21st century. DEATH is your death.
